The Awesome Foursome

Dr. Sinatra was a cardiologist who researched natural means to support heart health, and let me tell you his nutrition protocols really work! He wrote about why they work and gives his recipe for heart health in his book Metabolic Cardiology

Dr. Sinatra also co-authored the book Earthing, which exposed the world to the benefits of earthing, or grounding. As a cardiologist, he saw the benefits of Earthing on inflammation, which is a major factor in cardiovascular disease.

Dr. Sinatra leaves a legacy through his writings and the many thousands of people he has helped with his nutritional protocols. I’m going to share with you a few of the protocols from his Metabolic Cardiology book and I recommend that anyone who received the C19 vaccines (which can cause cardiovascular side effects) and anyone who has a family history of heart disease try out these simple nutrients.

The following protocols involve 4 nutrients that Dr. Sinatra calls “The Awesome Foursome”. These 4 are Magnesium, CoQ10, L-Carnitine, and D-Ribose. These nourish your heart muscle and positively affect all your tissues because they support your mitochondria. Remember mitochondria from Jr High Science? They are the little engines in every cell of your body that produce the energy necessary for the cells and tissues to function. Your brain has the highest number of mitochondria per cell, so The Awesome Foursome will also benefit your brain. Your heart has the second highest number, and your skeletal muscle the third highest. But ALL cells have mitochondria. 

The Awesome Foursome are taken in different quantities for different conditions. I will list a few and you can choose what makes the most sense to you. In addition to The Awesome Foursome, he recommends a good multivitamin/mineral and 1 gram of fish oil per day as a baseline. The following are all daily doses and can be divided in half and taken twice a day.

Age Management Program

CoQ10: 90-150 mg

L-carnitine: 250-750 mg

D-ribose: 5 grams

Magnesium: 400 mg

Cardiac Arrhythmia, including PVCs and A-fib

Increase fish oil to at least 3-4 grams daily

CoQ10: 180-360 mg

L-carnitine: 1,000-2,000 mg

D-ribose: 7-10 grams

Magnesium: 400-800 mg

Congestive Heart Failure

CoQ10: 300-360 mg

L-carnitine: 2,000-2,500 mg

D-ribose: 10-15 grams

Magnesium: 400-800 mg

Fibromyalgia or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

CoQ10: 300-360 mg

L-carnitine: 2,000-3,000 mg

D-ribose: 15 grams

Magnesium: 400-800 mg
